Ryan T. Kelly

Senior Research Scientist


Ryan T. Kelly is a Senior Research Scientist at the Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory (NDTL). Dr. Kelly serves as the programmatic and technical lead for research programs in the Notre Dame Transonic Axial Compressor (ND-TAC) facility where he has executed numerous test programs with a focus on axial compressor characterization, stall inception, and stall margin extension. In addition, Dr. Kelly is involved in multiple numerical analysis and model development research projects.

Dr. Kelly holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University (2009) and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame (2015).
