Ignition Park Facility
NDTL executes research, testing, and workforce development for technologies critical to current and future aero-propulsion and land-based power generation gas turbine products. In 2016, NDTL expanded its capabilities to support customer product development needs with the commissioning of its Ignition Park facility in South Bend, Indiana, USA.
NDTL's professionally staffed Ignition Park facility utilizes its flexible capabilities in multiple test cells to execute component testing for customers while protecting their intellectual property. These capabilities include 10MW in rotating power/load capability, high-speed power trains, 50 lbm/s (23 kg/s) of conditioned air at 12 atmospheres and temperatures up to 1200°F (650°C), in-house and commercial software tools, and a large-scale HPC cluster.
